Community Tasting Notes 2

February 3, 2019 - Brick red colour. Old slightly smoky nose. Quite a rustic taste and becoming hollowed out losing its fruit and substance. An old fashioned St Estephe, yes. But not for very much longer.

November 3, 2018 - This was a very good bottle of wine. At age 30 it was balanced and had firm tannins and some complexity that was unexpected from this modest chateau. The nose was good, the wine was not too dry because it had decent fruit even after 30 years. Smooth finish. I thought it would be far past peak and it wasn't who knew.
