  August 25, 2020 - No hyper-extraction here, this is a marvelous food wine. Still fresh and brisk, with a nose and palette dominated by strawberries with other red fruits in the background. Pale color and light-medium body. Excellent lift, which I don't often find in non-Pinot American reds. Would buy again.

  November 11, 2018 - Holding up nicely for 10 year old Napa Grenache. A little smokiness upon opening that burned off and uncovered a pronounced strawberry jam character with hints of white pepper as secondary. Held up to a veal chop with truffle butter but really stood out with a quinoa stuffed pepper, accenting the white pepper note in the wine. Nice bottle. Have to Love Howell Mtn!

  September 12, 2015 - Light red, strawberry jam color. Cloudy.
  Sugary fruit compote on the nose: raspberries, strawberries, peach and fig. Vanilla and mascarpone with white pepper in the background.
  Delicious interplay of tart fruit and ripe plum and fig, baked peach pit. Lively acidity.

  August 8, 2015 - Really nice grenache. Started spicy but that faded with air. Nicely balanced. Really complimented food. Short finish.
