August 19, 2022 - Cellared for 25 years. Removed from cellar allowed to warm to room temperature, opened, aerated and decanted. Nice, light violet color. Leather and tobacco nose, not much fruit. Medicinal, eucalyptus palate with tannins remaining but precious little fruit. Not unpleasant but why am I drinking this? Waited too long on this one and I have 6 left. I'm depressed. There is nothing here to brag about. It's over.

April 9, 2021 - At age 27 the wine is still in good condition but you need some patience as it is opening up its shy personality not within minutes but hours. Light red color, medium to full body. I did not decant, so my nose did not get anything within the first minutes. Some vanilla and cassis notes after 5 or so minutes, tobacco, some sweetness later. Super smooth and silky, very elegant. Complexity grew with the hours. Very Bordeaux like.

September 21, 2020 - In good shape despite the dry, crumbly cork. Nothing a quick filtering couldn't handle though. Gentle and elegant, with dusty cassis notes elevated by a touch of blackberry. Should hold at this level for years.
