September 5, 2023 - This was difficult to judge as it was still quite primary and even backward. Pedigree is clearly there, but give it another 5-10 years.

September 5, 2023 - Tuesday (Chicago, IL): Honestly, just too young. Intense merlot fruit here, with a bent towards black fruit. Sweet, opulent, and leathery, and modestly thick in texture. Feels like a late pick in a relatively cooler year. A wall of tannins on the back end makes you realize that this wine just isn't yet ready. Give it a decade? Two?

December 21, 2022 - Lovely wine, elegant, cassis, black currants, spice, leather, moderate tannins, long finish

April 5, 2022 - Expressive youthful nose displaying concentrated sweet dark fruit, crème de cassis, crushed blackberry, lavender, milk chocolate, floral dust, dark spices and earth. Exceptional concentration, layers upon layers of intense concentrated black fruit, unctuous and rich but also silky and precise, perfect amount of acidity, earthy mineral, and a long perfectly ripe black fruit driven finish with a hint of chocolate at the end. This beautiful wine remains very youthful.
