April 22, 2012 - Light gold with green tint in color. Melon, lemony citrus, nut oil, wet stone and pear on the nose. Vibrant acidity from attack to finish. Soft, textured, and round on the palate with citrus oil, corn husk, melon, and pear notes. Long finish.

2011 German Catalog, 3/1/2011 (link)(Strub Niersteiner Brückchen Riesling Kabinett) ($21.00) After all the tongue-numbing work of blending it, we ended up with a fairly simple cuvée of three tanks. We waffled; one blend was really fennely (and Kevin likes fennel) but the other, we agreed, was more suave, with more polish and repose. Not that it lacks energy; it has a fine minerality and its roasted-corn typicity has less scallion than usual. Elegantly long finish.
