June 3, 2021 - Very fresh and very crisp with good 1er concentration of orchard fruit with mineral accents. Excellent value with purity and pleasure.

June 3, 2021 - Beaune 1er Cru Tasting, in Both Shades (House of Nanda - Chicago IL): Fleshy apple throughout with some Meyer lemon hints. Fun and easy in the style of the ripe vintage, but with plenty of acidity and brightness on finish. Very good now.

May 30, 2020 - Saturday hangout (socially distanced) (Chicago, IL): Very 2009. Ripe, rich, and heady, and shows some serious breadth in comparison to the 2014 Meursault Clous alongside. A very generous amount of fruit here but with good counterbalancing acidity. In general I've really liked how the 2009 white Burgundy vintage turned out, and this is definitely in that mold, even though it is definitely on the fleshier end of the spectrum.

July 11, 2018 - Bouchard Père et Fils Grand Cru: Lieu-dit Cru Blind White Burgundy Dinner (S.K.Y. Restaurant - Chicago IL): Lush and very ripe apple, peach and faintly tropical notes with impressive weight for its level. Very fun and rich now. I served it (alone) blind to the group after an evening of Bouchard Grand Cru to see how many would think I was finishing the evening by serving another Montrachet. At least several convinced themselves it was Montrachet, so they can save a lot of money in their wine budgets!

December 18, 2017 - Apple and baked apple aromas and flavors with slightly sweet spice. Still very nicely fresh and overall well balanced.
