March 28, 2021 - Kleur: Medium goudgeel. Aroma / bouquet: Verleidelijke en zoetig eerste impressie, zeer bescheiden in intensiteit. Abrikozen, citrus, overrijpe perzik. 50 + Kleur: 5 + Aroma / bouquet: 10 + Smaak / Afdronk: 15 + Algemeen / potentieel: 8 = 88/100

Color: Medium golden yellow Aroma / bouquet: Seductive and sweet first impression, very modest in intensity. Apricots, citrus, overripe peach. Taste / Finish: The wine opens with a pleasant fresh acidity, followed by creamy notes of stone fruit and tropical fruit. Medium bodied, long refreshing and juicy finish. General / potential: At the moment beautifully finished, pleasant, not great, I have a strong doubt that this wine will develop in a positive way. 50 + Color: 5 + Aroma / bouquet: 10 + Taste / Finish: 15 + General / potential: 8 = 88/100

January 5, 2018 - From 75cl, perfect cork. Heavenly wine (and I'm not referring to the bishop on the label). The saline/ripe yellow fruit combo is as irresistable as perfectly ripe melon with exquisite parma ham draped on it; ripe honeyed melon again on the mid-palate, but the intense knife-edge acid, a sprinkle of while pepper and brittle minerality keep things fresh and lively. Not quite up there in my personal GV pantheon with the very finest Wachau 2008s, but gorgeous, luscious, heavenly wine nonetheless... Mature now, but no hurry. 91(-92)P

November 12, 2016 - Heritage 2016 Blind Wine Tasting Challenge - BYO Dinner (Jean Georges Steakhouse - ARIA - Las Vegas NV): Small glass, brief note. Pear and apple with some toasted nuts, white pepper. Good energy, good length. Needs time to soften.

May 16, 2016 - A very rich sytle, opulent, very ripe, slight botrytis influence with honey notes, a bit flat and lacking acidity on the finish. Impressive for its weight, bot not my favorite style. - 90 points

November 3, 2014 - Kleur: Strogeel Aroma / bouquet: Gematigd aromatisch, daardoor nauwelijks te herkennen als Grüner Veltliner. Een hint van citrus en abrikoos. Smaak / Afdronk: Frisse zuurgraad, mondvullend, dik en sappig, aangenaam, steenfruit (abrikoos) ook wat tropisch fruit (lychee), zoetige indruk, yoghurt, afdronk: bovengemiddeld lange. Algemeen / potentieel: Aangename Grüner Veltliner, maar onvergelijkbaar met Franz Hirtzberger's Honivogl. 50 + Kleur: 5 + Aroma / bouquet: 9 + Smaak / Afdronk: 16 + Algemeen / potentieel: 8 = 88/100

    Google Translate:

Color: Straw Aroma / bouquet: Moderately aromatic, thereby hardly recognizable as Grüner Veltliner. A hint of citrus and apricot Taste / Finish:. fresh acidity, mouth-filling, thick and juicy, pleasant, stone fruit (apricot) also some tropical fruit (lychee), sweetish impression, yogurt, aftertaste: above average long . General / potential: Pleasant Grüner Veltliner, but incomparable with Franz Hirtzberger's Honivogl. 50 + Color: 5 + Aroma / bouquet: 9 + Taste / Finish: 16 + General / potential: 8 = 88/100
