Review which is better than I can do said "Intense red and dark berry aromas are complemented by potpourri and smoky herbs. Broad, palate-coating dark fruit flavors become brighter with air and show a distinctly spicy character. Finishes with very good clarity and juicy persistence..."
I know I liked the tannin level and complexity. Very good wine to go with a salty food. Someone suggested spiral ham which made me want to get another bottle and another dinner.
I bought another two bottles and the second was disappointing. May have been bad based on harshness and a bit of fizziness. I have a third bottle to referee, but bought it at the same time so if the problem was heat, it will be bad too. Dropped rating from 89 to 86. -
