June 5, 2014 - Delicious. Lovely, old world Bordeaux style blend, exactly as Lou intended. Very fragrant nose with sweet oak and autumn leaves. On the palate, it is stylish, but the components are not as well integrated as the best Kapcsandy wines. This medium bodied, delicate wine is better suited for a charcuterie plate, rather than a big steak, imo. It started to decline a couple hours into the meal - the finish seemed to cut short as time went on - so I would suggest drinking this up.1 person found this helpful Comment

December 25, 2013 - A bit disappointing. Opens with a pretty nose and attractive structured mid palate but bites a bit at the end. A bit disjointed, not sure if this a bottle variation issue although this bottle came directly from the winery a year ago and has been stored well since.

May 5, 2012 - Inky crimson color. Chocolate, plum, blackberry and herb notes. Full-bodied with chalky tannins and flavors of plum, blackberry, chocolate and herbs. Develops vanilla and caramel notes with air; saddle leather and pine sap too. Vanilla becomes dominant quality.

October 20, 2010 - Needs air, but is ready to drink. This wine changed impressively during the evening and the second day it was still delicious. Good balance, fruit, acidity, length ... everything one would want. For my taste, this wine is squarely in the middle between old world and new world -- exactly where I wanted it to be. Kapcsandy is an impressive produce and, albeit expensive, this is a fantastic wine. With a bit more age, this could get better, yet.

June 28, 2010 - Tasting at Kapcsandy Winery (and is 08 even better than 07?): Ruby in color. The nose has a good dollop of oak on it. Cassis and some earthiness. Still tight and young seemingly. A bit drying on the palate. Cassis notes and a complex mid palate, but then the finish is short. An interesting wine, but I don't know where it goes from here. Could be better, might not be.
