December 17, 2013 - A nose of citrus and spice, medium golden in color. A medium to full bodied white with peach, honey, citrus, good acidity with a long spice finish, drink now. www.winelx.com

December 9, 2013 - The freshness/ acidity was a perfect foil for richness of our leftover thanksgiving dinners.
Doesn't have what I think if as typical Viognier characteristics, but delicious.

April 10, 2013 - Having said "Viognier on steroids" once or twice before, it deserves being repeated. The 2009 Viognier from Alban opens up with a massive attack of white flowers and an abundance of rich fruit like lychee, lime zest, pineapple and mandarin. In this way this wine is atypical, but on the other hand it is very "Alban typical"... The palate is balanced and I also have to say integrated, but it is quite evident that this wine will not benefit from further cellaring. It is perfectly open for business tonight. A true gem which is indeed pleasant to drink right now.

November 9, 2012 - A brilliant example of Viognier on steroids, the 2009 Alban Viognier exhibits a massive perfume of white flowers, lilac, lychee and intriguing sandal wood combined with a whiff of white pepper. The palate is massive and reveals an abundance of integrated fruit, oak and tonight a rather subtle acidity. This is a very non-shy wine with no reluctance at all in showing a fleshy full throttle type of appearance. A slight touch of heat in the end palate reduces my impression a bit.
