July 31, 2008 - Nice smoked meat nose with spices and rich black fruits. Densely packed black cherry, cured meat, asian spices, and mild acidity. Tannins are moderate as well.

October 7, 2007 - Drank over two nights, similar thoughts both times. Dark ripe and intense, lots of character and flavour. Mainly blackberry and currant fruit, but with a nice smokey tinge to the nose. Long, long finish with lots of complexity. An excellent value for the $17 I paid in Safeway.
