November 9, 2013 - Original 1999 Reserve bottling had a clear label with gold and red. It bore the notation: "Prestigious Red Dinner Wine". Back label was "signed" by then Winemaker Tom Lane. The wine label shown here may have been for a Trader Joe's marketing effort? Original wine was rich, plummy and vigorous - - even as recently as two weeks ago. A little bottle-stink blew off to reveal a stunningly integrated and complete Petite. Am guessing there may have been several bottlings from different barrels. The 99's I've tasted have been bell ringers.

July 27, 2007 - Not as bad as others rated, but disappointing given what I paid. Bought at the winery for considerably more than the TJ price (not sure what I was thinking, seems like I must have tasted a different wine?). Nice rich mouthfeel, some fruit, but nothing special. And yes, a bit of iodine lurking in the background. Would have been a good value from Trader Joe's.

December 21, 2006 - Purchased at Trader Joes. Was not good. Smelled bad. Didn't taste very good either. I poured it out. Life is to short to drink bad wine.
