Community Tasting Notes 40

September 28, 2023 - Drank during Cornerstone Provenance Night Event with more than 30 wines tasting. Did not have enough time to take down notes and didn’t have proper wine glasses. In general, the wines are still drinking fine and have characteristics of old vintage wine; forest floor, some barnyard, spices, tea, hawthorn, toast. I only managed to use my own personal score to rate the wine.

May 8, 2021 - After drinking a series of wines that were excellent but too young, this was a welcome change. Really in a perfect window if you like aged Bordeaux. Complex tobacco, leather, savory, cheesy, red fruited, but so smooth and silky.

December 25, 2020 - Beautifully balanced, still lively. Color is still bright belying its age. Vibrant nose of dark cherry, blackberry, cumin, cardoman, rosemary, lavender, and a touch of clove and cinnamon. On the palate, black cherry, blackberry, chocolate, and an undertone of coffee. Very refined tannin. A refined wine. Sorry we have just one bottle remaining.

January 4, 2020 - Surprisingly there is still some life left. Nose was earthy, graphite, asphalt and some leather. Some fruit still left - pomegranate. Enjoy.

February 14, 2019 - Valentines delight. Very earthy and hints of leather. Like you are in a tack room but you also taste cherries. Delightful and mature. Drink up - not much upside.
