November 4, 2012 - Great floral aromas of lilies and violets jumping out of the glas! These are accompanied by the impression of ripe sour cherries and a hint of white pepper. The nose is spectacular. On the palate the wine shows great precision, it is fresh and lively. Nice acidity and well integrated tannins. Very elegant on the finish with a nice twist of bitterness.

August 27, 2010 - Natural Wine Week Tasting (San Francisco Wine Trading Company): Dark. Clean black fruit in a more modern style. Fairly big wine but reasonably shapely. Although I was told that the wood treatment is all older French oak, I still got the pine resin more typical of American oak. Tannic but approachable. Not great complexity at this point.
