May 24, 2011 - Fruit filled nose, showcasing black currant, plum, anise, hints of sweet tobacco and cedar...but not quite there. Dark cacao teases in the background. Big, ripe, fruit tannins, but well integrated. Lots of plum and blackberry jam across the palate, accents of leather, vanilla, and violets. Dark chocolate returns for the long fruit filled finish. Nice velvety texture.
I know a lot of Americans can't wait...but give this some time. Now I have to find a btl to replace this one. This is way too young...tight yet soft like a young Margeaux, but with a Cab base. Mostly fruit at the moment...let the spice develop. 2014-20201 person found this helpful Comments (1)
