March 23, 2016 - Wow. This has resolved well. Still bold, but not overly so. Wonderful spiciness, balanced, complex. Drinking really well now. Has the stuff to go decades.

November 30, 2013 - Earthy, brambly, spicy to sniff, but on the drier end to taste for a Zinfandel. Good tartness. Buttoned down, solid, and pleasant Zinfandel.

May 29, 2013 - Blackberries & plums, cloves, hint of cinnamon, touch of black pepper. Past peak but still sings when paired with the right food. Served with grilled burgers, blue cheese & arugula. Classic Dusi character & the intense fruit still evident despite its age.

October 8, 2011 - Near black wine, but you can see dark garnet notes if you put the glass up against the light. Christmas spices and cloves on the nose. Notes of cinnamon, cloves, plums, blackberries, a little must, with a finish showcasing all of the above that goes on forever. The wine has clearly reached its apex but has not yet begun its downward trajectory. Reminds me a bit of the 1996 Havens bouriquot.

October 18, 2010 - Drinking very nicely. Great dark fruit, with medium spice, some earthiness. Rich and ripe.
