June 11, 2022 - The bottle was in excellent condition (maybe 1cm?). No bricking or cloudiness. Garnet color. On the nose it felt like a shell had cracked revealing another side of Chambertin: something that was always there but now was in the forefront. On the palate it was so smooth - it went down too easy.

June 11, 2022 - Pre-2002 Rousseau Dinner (WS NYC): Bursting from the glass with layer upon layer of bright fruit aromas. Palate was deep and finish was extremely long and lingering. #2 WOTN.

May 30, 2022 - strawberries. strawberries all day. a big ol bottle of harry's berries muddled and ripened with aromatic herbs and spice. acidity is spot on with fantastic length and elegance. Weightless fruit on the mid palate. Beautiful wine. Probably right past its peak as you're starting to get a bit of the rusticity edge on the back end but absolutely delicious either way.

January 10, 2019 - extremely smoky nose. bit darker than mazy. very rich, luscious, round fruit with lots of grip and smokiness. sadly, some brett contamination.

March 27, 2011 - At the Union League with Clive, Bob and a group of friends; 3/26/2011-3/28/2011 (Union League Cafe, New Haven Ct.): Very nice. Not as good as the Beze in the same year. Classic Rousseau Chambertineven in an off year.
