January 14, 2023 - Spanish fun day one (N&J's place, Canberra): From Coravin. Black hued fruits, plenty of sweet spice, a little dusty vanilla and vanilla pod, black tea, slight leather with time a strawberry compote quality. Savoury, meaty , leather on the palate, slightly oxidised, sweet spice, black over red fruits, tight chewy woody tannins and a lick of liquorice on the finish, a little dried out, cream and vanilla also on the finish. Needs protein.

Juicy, generously fruited, vanilla, a little leather, sweet spice, talc textured tannic burr supports the flavours. Long. nicer than I remember.

October 9, 2020 - Riojan investigation (Frank's place in Matraville): From Coravin. Aromas of biscuit, blackcurrant over red berries, sweet spice, cedar, almost a little boot polish and a sense of concentrate. In the mouth it's equally concentrated (slight extracted?) for me which lends a savoury quality to the fruit which is backed by chalky tannic grip that rather closes down the palate. Hmm.
