August 7, 2013 - A perfect cork, no leakage. 12.0% ABV.
Sweet blackcurrants and cassis, hint of cedar on the nose. Medium intensity, speaks clearly out of the glass. The palate follows on from the nose, playing a single but pure note of cassis, thin to medium-bodied, good length and finishes clean as a whistle. No tannins left. Graceful and charming, like talking to an old lady. Overall this was a surprise, just a really good honest wine that has reached old age in great shape.
A quick double-decant is recommended. Don't decant for too long.
