March 29, 2024 - {screwcap, 13%} No ullage, no decant. Yet, an alarming murky brick/brown colour. Leathery, old nose and palate, with some trembling volatility on the way. Acid otherwise moderate, tannins have faded away, ancient ripe grapes of no particular varietal character; plausible considering this is a blend of CS,shiraz, CF, merlot. Rotting leaves, generic red fruits on the way out. Medium weight, shortish drying finish. Cork looked fine; likely either poor storage or simply too old.
