  November 21, 2008 - Nice nose of blackberries, vanilla, and earth, but the wine is a complete mess on the palate. Tart, thin and sharp, this is definitely way past its prime, which makes me wonder why a $25 Merlot can't last more than a few years before falling apart.

  August 31, 2007 - Mocha, black plum and a hint of clove mingle nicely. Decanted for 1 hour and it was good - came back the next day for a glass and it had opened up even more with some great cinnamon aromas. A good btl for the wine club member price of $16.

  October 6, 2006 - Lean and sour, though there's a fair bit of plum and cassis fruit in there, followed by a decent finish. Ultimately, though, the lack of balance makes this a mustn't buy.
