February 24, 2024 - MAGNUM Vintage Port (CUT restaurant Beverly Hills): Out of magnum. More liquor smell, lacquer n the palate, Chinese plum sauce and sweet.

February 8, 2022 - All colour had just about dropped away. This improved with air over a couple of ours. Medicinal & cough sweets, rosehip fruit, spirity which dissipated to an extent. On this showing drink very soon. An event in itself.

December 10, 2021 - Christmas Wimps 2021 - Home Alone 2 table (La Trompette): Decanted around two hours. Wow! Still a big, dark wine, although pleasingly even-bodied, and with notes of pine needle, cherry brandy and medicinal clove. Superb both with the food and as a digestif.

June 3, 2016 - May have committed a bit of "infanticide" here. Decanted for 2 hours (and left a little overnight). Very clear light carmel color. Nose of Asian spices, cigar box and something floral I can't place. Delicate body, and even a bit feminine but a truly gorgeous glass of port. Definitely has the ability to remain in top form for many more years in the cellar. Glad to have a couple more left!

May 1, 2016 - Harrod's Bottling. Clear light brown. Very tertiary nose, floral and earthy with hints of exotic spices and tea. Delicious flavours, tea, dried fruit and mineral. Very soft finish.
