June 20, 2015 - Very rich, bright, deep aroma with berries, and a darker edge to it. Has a very deep dark violet color. The flavor opens with strong tannins that last. There's some fruit behind that, and maybe a touch of oak. The alcohol is not apparent to me in aroma or flavor, although as this opens up over a couple hours I do begin to perceive it. Becomes a little sharp in character, mostly from tannins, a little from alcohol.

Still seems somewhat young. Tasted from 64–72°F.

February 6, 2011 - Outstanding. Large, fruit forward, not too much tannin, went very well with garlic crusted tenderloin.

November 8, 2009 - Dark purple, good fruit, but not overwhelming, leavened well with spice. Went excellently with steak and the trimmings.

November 5, 2009 - Outstanding with fillet of beef crusted with mustard and roasted garlic

April 30, 2009 - Dark, dark, dark purple and a tart nose of dark berries that held firm. Age has helped this a bit, but it is still a gripper on the tounge...but with the small evolvement comes more fruit texture and a personality that seems to be breaking out...good stuff that went very well with a grilled porterhouse.
