  January 2, 2009 - A nice surprise, expected it to be on its last leg but not so. Very inviting 13 year bottle still featuring good color, medium/red fruit flavors and nice finish...a real treat.

  January 2, 2006 - Deep ruby/garnet core, medium brick red rim, orange tints.
  Medium intense nose, soon opening out to reveal sumptuous, ripe plum and blackcurrant fruit, some complexity with hints of licquorice and pencil shavings.
  On the palate this is a medium + bodied wine with medium + soft tannins and acidity perhaps just a touch over medium. A very fruity mid-palate with medium + intense flavours of ripe plum and blackcurrant, with hints of vanilla and pencil shavings on a medium/good length savoury finish with good balancing acidity.
  Overall very good. Has the fruit and structure to mean it shouldn't fall apart for at least 2-3 years.
