December 28, 2019 - 91+ potential. Popped and poured with some friends as an easy going, hard to dislike Sicilian. Would benefit from 3+ years, but bright and vibrant now.
The 'traditional' use of partially dried grapes in the blend of Merlot, Nero d'Avola and Nerello Mascelese is evident in a subtle ripe sweetness that does not dominate (like so many Passimento). Full, dense and floral black cherry, dried raspberry, ripe plum primary fruit character. Med- tannins and high acid balance well. Big blob of toasted oak to finish2 people found this helpful Comment
