  April 7, 2011 - This is not a Franciocorta D.O.C.G., since this appelation is limited to sparkling wines, but a Terre di Franciacorta D.O.C. It was tasted at "Le Petit Sommelier" restaurant, Athens, Greece, during my "Italian Whites" presentation. Straw yellow in color with surprisingly youth-indicating greenish hues. Its nose is reminiscent of a sparkling wine, think of a good blanc de blanc champagne, with intense yeasts, brioche, citrus fruit, green apple and noticeable minerality. Mid+ bodied but very vibrant and crispy (like a fizzy withou fizz) with bright fruit and high acidity. Long finish. Different to anything I have tasted to date. Very unique in its style.

  February 13, 2011 - Last bottle. So sad. Earthy nose, a slight , not unpleasant funkiness to it. Delicious, full and long. I would not hold on to these much longer though.
