April 14, 2012 - A good reliable chianti for weekday Italian fare.

March 11, 2012 - I have had very good bottles from the same year. I believe the store where it was purchased did not properly store it. Learned another lesson.

January 6, 2012 - Light body, thin legs, really like the lower astringency and semi-bright acidity. Dull garnet hue. Violet and strawberry nose, some earth. Red cherry and some Mediterranean green cooking spices - tarragon and thyme generally, little rhubarb. Shorter finish, volcanic-ashy tannins, less expressive than most CCRs, hints of red licorice and black vanilla - generally solid, but too brief. Wanting more of the typical bright-acid and tobacco undertones that make CCRs very appealing, especially in concert with food. B-/85 = 50/5/10/6/7/7

November 30, 2011 - Deep ruby in color, with notes of black cherries, violets and spice on the nose. On the palate, I detected a smooth texture and a long finish with hints of black cherries, medium tannins and spices. Very Good

October 10, 2011 - There is some bottle variation. Some tannic, concentrated, need 3 hours in decanter. Those show great concentration and depth. Most recent bottle already soft, with some breed, almost Vino Nobile in profile. Nothing idiosyncratic or special, but solid Chianti. A steal at under $15.
