November 15, 2022 - Not usual to taste so many old wines,
Thanks to an importer becoming earlier we had the chance to taste so many les Rouvre, and get an idea of what comes out of here...:)
Nice truffle and tertiary aromas on the nose, lots of humus, forrest floor, wet leaves, a walk in a forrest in autumn...
Good balance between fruits and tertiary aromas, no oak shows here, as the wine displays black fruits and forrest floor, with a nicely balanced body and great acidity still holding well this quite defined wine from a colder vintage... Long and a bit dry in the finish but altogether drinking very well.
nez truffé, ternaire, sous bois... un joli jus en bouche, avec une trame acidulée, et fraîche, la matière est fondue, les arômes sont entre les fruits noirs encore un peu présents et le tertiaire, très droit encore ! on sent une ossature acidulée sur le millésime et la finale et juste un poil asséchant encore ! 90+

August 23, 2020 - Very good right now! Blueberry and pine on the nose. Ripe strawberries, licorice and black pepper in the mouth. Very well balanced. Mature.

April 5, 2020 - Black pepper, thyme and bay leaves on the nose. Oak and licorice in the mouth. Long after taste with good tannins and acidity. Nice with lamb steak and potato gratin. Still aging potential.
