  June 7, 2015 - Majeka House Tasting - Italy (Stellenbosch): Deep crimson-purple colour with density to the edges. A fragrant nose of black cherry, kirsch, and cinnamon. The palate shows black cherries, tinned prunes, dark chocolate and damsons with a thick and fleshy texture. There is a slight dry bitter note on the back palate, but it is balanced by ample fruitiness. The wine has dusty-dense tannins, hints of liquorice, and a ripe cherry skin texture. Quality-wise, the wine offers concentration with a rich core of ripe fruit and notable acidity. The finish has lingering, bitter, darker cherries.
