September 26, 2019 - I found this one particularly lovely. Copper colored, serious nose of subtle red berries, freshly ground coffee, licorice umami and minerals. Very pleasant mouthfeel, great body, power and finesse. More of the same as the nose. Long and complex. Amazing bottle.

October 5, 2018 - Team Vitis Fall Tasting 88/76; 10/5/2018-10/7/2018 (Tord): Salmon pink. Initially anonymous nose, but with air comes a floral fragrance, strawberries, cantaloupe melon and light mineral tones. Palate with light summer berries, fruit, and some oak. February 24, 2018 - Birthday Dinner with Wines from 1988 and 1958 for a Person of Unknown Age (Nopa, San Francisco): Magnum. Deep yellow with pink tinge. A burst of effervescence when first opened. Dried strawberry aromas. Moderate dosage, round, quite amazing red fruit for a 30 year old wine. Very enjoyable.
