Community Tasting Notes 8

October 17, 2016 - Once you get past the fact that this is a 2007 from South Africa, not Napa, well the wine is OK. Strong pepper component, cherry, and quite acidic with tannins virtually absent. Worked OK with a steak but would not recommend as a sipping wine, just two disjointed and fractured.

July 17, 2013 - Liked a little better this time, same notes as last time

May 11, 2013 - Deep and spicy, peppery and rich, powerful and energetic, rich tannins, good balance and harmony, good length.

April 18, 2013 - Black currant, tobacco, and lots of green bell pepper, but all overlaid with polished french oak. Minus the new oak, it could have been pretty nice, but is instead a bit clumsy and heavy.

March 31, 2013 - Good for the price, had with tenderloin , black/rad fruit , some smoke, wet leaf, my wife gets some tobacco
