March 24, 2024 - Nice balance and character. Lighter build. Just a solidly good bottle. At the price paid this is a very good value given the post Covid price bumps from the region. A wine that would be a winner across many palates.

July 25, 2023 - Elegant. Toast. Some fruit pushing through...meunier clearly present. Solid QPR and delicious

April 5, 2023 - A bright fresh nose with the pinot more evident than the chard. Florals chalk and autolytic notes add to the whole. Plump and snappy fruit with lovely fine bead, good tension, and sense of chalk. The dosage is a touch high for me, but I suspect it will come together in time. A fresh, lovely and ripe yet detailed wine. It lacks a ton of complexity but makes up for it in pleasure. Outstanding. 91

October 2, 2022 - I expected this to be good but surprised me to the upside! Wishing now I had bought more than 1. I loved the zip, mineral & freshness while not forgetting balancing fruit & yeasty pastry nuances.

October 2, 2022 - Monthly Tasting Group: California and Washington Cabs/Syrah (Estelle, St. Paul, MN): Light gold color. Drank a glass over 45 minutes. I'm often not fond of the NV bottlings, but the Special Club is generally a winner. I was pretty enamored with this tonight. Nice doughy notes on the nose, apple, citrus, yeasty. The palate is fuller bodied, good depth and energy, very crisp, apple, apple eel, yeasty, good length too.
