December 26, 2019 - Still going strong. Needed 2+ hour decant to open up then showed well. Light to medium weight for Rioja, a bit thinner than I like. Still, cherry and bramble flavors made for pleasant wine with dinner.

January 5, 2016 - Good wine, but not what I expected. It was delicate, floral, and perfumy, but didn't have much varietal or regional character. If asked to taste and identify this blind, I would have guessed it to be on the feminine end of a Northern Rhone. It wouldn't surprise me to find out that this had a big dollop of Syrah in it. Tasty but I'm not sure it's worth $40. Better without food than with it.

November 8, 2015 - Solid, but not terribly impressed for the $40 price tag. A little thin, with restrained fruit. Well-made and probably enjoyable if you love old world style.
