Community Tasting Notes 2

    January 11, 2020 - Decanted.
After a 4 month drying time the wine is pressed and fermented over a 40 day period. Ageing takes place in French oak casks (70% barrels of 225 litres and 30% in barrels of 500 litres, all new barrels) for 24 months.
    Corvina 65% Corvinone 15% Rondinella 10% Oseleta 10%-
Scented with notes of dried cherry, prune, autumn leaves, chestnut, cedar, tobacco and light hints of cocoa and turned earth.
Full and enveloping on the palate revealing a more masculine style with firm chewy tannins, high abv and above moderate acidity. As expected this wine reveals a nice weight and plush textures (behind the tannins). Flavors show cocoa dusted super-ripe cherry, stewed and dried fruits, cedar, spice, leather, tobacco, bramble, earth and a hint of walnut. The finish is bold and lingering with cocoa tinted tannins and a warming sensation.

Overall, definitely a masculine style. Well built and should continue to develop.
