April 12, 2024 - opened and double decanted an hour, youthful slightly dense dark ruby, simple but ripe and attractive plum fruit with touch of earthy minerality, nice enough but nothing special, maybe some upside, no rush. VG+ (16.5).

August 16, 2023 - I liked this wine very much, especially for the $41 I paid for it. It's medium to full bodied with cassis, mineral and earth. The nose is about the same. It drank very well after a 1.5 hour decant and is definitely not made in a juicy, ripe Merlot based style. The wine is 48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Cab Franc and 32% Merlot, and it tastes like it. It's very much made in the Figeac style. I definitely would buy more at $50 or less. Unfortunately, the wine is now selling for over $60 and close to $100 for the 2020 vintage.

May 22, 2023 - My final delicious bottle, still lots of life here and a good future, has proper satin texture of top class winemaking

March 16, 2023 - Lovely. 2nd of 6. Has opened up a lot since first tasting in 2022 where it was quite flat and underwhelming. Not so now! Vibrant crimson, wonderful freshness and bright red fruit nose and a hint of smokiness. Very smooth mouthfeel, red and black fruits abound on the palate with a touch of vanilla. Not complex, but bright and happy flavours. Very enjoyable with spaghetti bolognaise! Expect it will last a few more years yet, but will there be more complexity ahead? Not sure.
Consumed over subsequent 3 or 4 days, with just a cork back in the bottle. Held up nicely right to the bottom of the bottle.
