October 6, 2017 - Pale orange with little chunkies, viscous. Nose of malty beer and apricot, as it warms up. Dry, full body and flavours of peach and unami. Low on acid but there is tannin to hold it together. This is food-friendly and not at all Chardonnay-ish.

September 27, 2016 - Popped about an hour before the meal, with the expectation of needing a decant, but it was pretty much ready to go right away.
Pours a cloudy, deep amber. It actually looks like unfiltered beer minus the foam. Aroma is of honey, orange zest, apricots, and a very slight hint of oxidation. On the palate, basically fireworks. Honey, almonds, apricots, orange marmalade, gueuze lambic… to be honest, this reminds me of a dry version of Tokaji.. same complexity and intensity minus the sweetness. It’s different from other orange wines I’ve tried in the past in that it is very fruit forward, and it really dials down the oxidation “wierdness”. It’s not really a challenging wine in that way.
The finish has fine, fuzzy tannins that build up without being too jarring. Some significant acidity as well. The combination of tannins and acidity make it a fantastic food wine. It was paired with sous vide pork tenderloin with mustard sauce and it was a killer combination. Food pairing of the year, to be honest.

January 4, 2016 - No note taken on day 1 - notes from day 2.

Some gas had developed in the bottle in the fridge overnight - cork came out with some air pressure behind it. Something live going on in this one.

    Slightly brown-toned deep gold color.

Very floral and fragrant nose with sandalwood notes.

Crisp palate. Honey, ripe peaches and red spices. Also showing red apple skin on the end palate. Exhibits a touch of sweetness.

September 27, 2015 - Nose: The nose is complex and perfumed with herbs, orange peels, peaches, mint, marmalade, and some floral notes. There is excellent depth with a savory nature to it.

Taste: Full bodied with high acidity and sneaky tannins. The skin contact certainly provides some extra structure along with there being a silky, yet rich feel with herbs, orange peels, mint, peaches, and a touch of marmalade.

Overall: This was a real win in my book. I did slightly wonder if the wine was showing off more of a Radikon influence rather than being a different interpretation of Chardonnay. Either way, it worked on many levels from where I sat.
