February 9, 2022 - Way too young. Nice structure. Tart

January 29, 2021 - 14% alcohol; composite cork, medium-weight foil, imported by European Cellars LLC, Charlotte, North Carolina; CellarTracker identifies the wine as a Tempranillo or Tempranillo Blend, but the label does not identify the source grape(s); long to medium legs, dark red/purple; opened, vinturied, and tasted right away at room temperature (25 degrees C); nose of alcohol and stone fruit; full bodied, notes of plums & cherries, minerals, earth, leather; the sweetness is not well integrated with the tannins -- these components are layered rather than dissolved into each other -- like an attempt was made to mix them and that didn't happen, a problem still more noticeable in the medium to long finish; hard to think of what this wine might pair with

August 2, 2020 - The wine looks purple colored. The legs are fast. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like strawberry, black currant (cassis), clove, alcohol/hot and tobacco. It tastes like strawberry, black currant (cassis), clove, alcohol/hot and tobacco. The body is medium/full. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has high acidity.

June 13, 2020 - WSET Level 3 Online (Week 5, Spain): [from Coravin]

The appearance is clear and medium purple in colour.

The nose is clean with medium(+) intensity aromas. There are aromas of red fruit (raspberry, strawberry), black fruit (wild blackberry, black plum), oak (charred wood, smoke) and coffee. This wine is youthful.

On the palate, the wine is dry with medium(-) acidity, medium(-) tannins, high alcohol, and medium body. The flavour intensity is medium(+) with notes of red fruit (raspberry, strawberry), black fruit (wild blackberry, black plum), oak (charred wood, smoke), and coffee. The finish has a medium(+) length.

Very good quality wine; drink now, not suitable for ageing (the acid and tannin structure is unlikely to support ageing).
