  August 21, 2022 - Still going strong, drink or hold. Plenty of ripe sweet fruit, bitter cocoa, moderate heat, moderate complexity. I've had proper vintage ports that were not as enjoyable as this.

  January 26, 2020 - Maraschino cherries, dark fruit, and chocolate aromatics. Smooth, melted, and balanced, with juicy hard candy acidity and no burn whatsoever. Nice.

  February 6, 2017 - Medium red/purple. Smokey ripe fig and plum notes in the nose. Slightly sweet, ripe but evolving nose and palate.

  Nose: fruit, leather, anise
  Taste: raisin, dried plums
  Not my favorite port...too fruity, flavors a bit disjointed and too sweet. Paired with a brownie amplified the unbalance.

  November 24, 2016 - Smith Woodhouse Vintage Port Vertical (Portvinsklubben 1981): Charming and creamy with a floral touch. Some black pepper and dark chocolate. Nice.
