Community Tasting Notes 9

December 3, 2022 - Strong ripe plum and dark cherry on the nose. Dark purple fruit plum and chocolate, with some pepper. Fine tannins, smooth on the palate. Drinking beautifully right now.

January 23, 2021 - Intense ruby color. No hints of his age. It looks, taste and smells young. intense nose with black fruit, some jamminess, blossom and cedar. Full body, M+ acidity and M+ smooth tannins. Long and bitter finish. Very good. This wine is still developing and can be aged for some more years

April 25, 2019 - The wine is inky dark. It gives no clue that it is 13 years old. The wine drinks like a California wine with an Italian accent. It was silky smooth and more dark fruit notes than I would have guessed. I personally found it one dimensional, but could see how others would enjoy very much. Perhaps it was the vintage, as I have enjoyed previous vintages more

July 25, 2011 - Valpolicella with Luca Speri (121 BC, Sydney): Nose: muted funk, savoury and meaty over slight cherry
Mouth: Medium plus tannin and medium minus acidity. there is some cherry here but the finish is a little short.
