Friday, May 19, 2023 - This was a pop and pour at Oakwood Pizza box. I tried to give this a little air, but that wasn't really happening. At first pour, it was a slight bit grapey but after swirling and a half hour this opens up beautifully into savory tones of black fruits, dark red cherries, raspberries, crushed rocks, black pepper, herbs, and violets. The Medium bodied feel is light on its toes with a slightly thinner mid-palate while backed up by crisp, medium acidity and silky, medium tannins. This is clearly young, but this could really blossom with about 4+ years.
