Sunday, March 24, 2013 - color: light raspberry velvet; nose: lightest trace of oak; taste: light-to-medium-bodied rounded mouth feel, cherry coke taste, yummy medium length finish with notes of dark chocolate and tobacco-flavored tannins; overall: hurrah -- a tasty, modern, and unpretentious merlot offered at a value price ($9.50/bottle at Costco)! 14 Hands beats yesterday's lackluster glass of Bogle merlot by a mile. Food-friendly profile, which I think could even pair well with Thanksgiving fare.
