Sunday, April 7, 2013 - Decanted and poured, this wine gave an outstanding showing. The aromatics begin with an elusive mix of floral, spice and cherry notes that seem almost weightless. Airing brings more black fruits, mocha and tar to the bouquet. The youthful aromatics give a sense of poise and elegance with subtle nuance and complexity. The color is a light, translucent ruby. The wine displays an ethereal quality to the medium bodied palate. This shows wonderful balance and harmony with an underlying sense of power and structure. This wine gave a wonderful showing for its youthful vibrancy and transcendent qualities. It gives the impression that it will benefit and improve with additional bottle age.
