  6/5/2013 7:40:00 PM - Harley, I think it has a chance to be even more interesting but the acidity is low, tannins are fading, but the fruit it still there. The aromatics were never prominent but it could be very cool. Or bottle variation could play a role and make it not so good. That's the fascinating thing about wine, especially older bottles. They get more interesting. Speaking of which, I glanced at your profile. Tell me about my bottle of Lopez de Heredia Blanco Gran Reserva 1981. ;-) i want to drink it soon.

  Thanks for your complete and useful information.
  I think that taking a little risk with this Crema is something logical for those that always prefer their bottles just a bit over the hill.
  When I took that bottle in the States, summer 2007 I think, 2013 was a far away final destination alright but I've to insist that I am one of those fools that with a initial high acidity like their PN well-aged.
  Thus have a bottle of 2007 Mark West for the next 2017. May I insist that there is not a single problem to call me mad? ;-)
  About aged Rioja, what more can I say? Love them!
  That bottle of LdH 1981 white GR is going to be something great...in 20/30 years I afraid! Are you patient/young enough?
  At this point is just a baby, but you can feel the potential.
  My personal choice is crying for Reserva range cause its accessibility but being honest can't match GR, so unique it is.
