2009 Château Kirwan

Community Tasting Note

Tuesday, January 28, 2014 - Deep ruby with a charming crimson rim. Very deceptive nose early on with prominent coffee aromas as well as bitter chocolate masking the black fruity core and steering me towards the new world in blind tasting. Oak driven now on the palate with firm, even drying tannins that tend to soften in a few hours time. Bitter on the aftertaste. Too early to drink. If you still want to, at least two hours in the decanter will pay off.
