Saturday, February 11, 2017 - Post-auction fun (Birch Road Cellar, Chicago IL): Nose: The nose is flowing and perfumed with sour red cherries, herbs, spices, cranberries, leather tones, and earth tones. The fruit still has ripeness to it, though it is clearly mature while there is excellent depth and layering.

Taste: Medium bodied with medium+ acidity and medium tannins. The feel and structure are showing mature with the acidity being a little on the sharp side. The feel is refined and polished with sour red cherries, herbs, cranberries, leather, earth tones, and black tea notes.

Overall: This is just drop dead gorgeous. There can certainly be some variation on these bottles and this was an on bottle.
