Saturday, January 18, 2020 - Did not decant but poured two glasses which sat for about 90 minutes before tasting. Strong dark fruit on the nose and in initial taste. Fruit slowly faded and secondary flavors of spice, cedar, graphite(?), began to show. After about 3 hours fruit was hard to distinguish, but overall very balanced and nuanced.
Served with braised short ribs.
A great wine, but I think now is the time to drink, not sure how much longer it has.
