90 Points

Thursday, September 8, 2022 - Quite pleasantly surprised especially for a 2011. Very good and VERY sharp taste and flavors.
COLOR: Dark and opaque with no signs of aging.

NOSE: Highly aeromatic with many notes of stewed fruit and leather.

FRONT: Lots of punch up front with tons of annisette and black currant.

MID: Nice and full

BACK: Peppery both black and green bell

FINISH: Present which lingers long after the sip is over.

OVERALL: Full mouth coat with flavors most present at the front of the palate. Not a fruit bomb which I like. Tasted next to a 2007 Cafaro Cab and it was every bit as enjoyable. Much different than Krug Yountville I have had in the past.
