Saturday, October 1, 2022 - This wine features a nose of dark blue fruit, cocoa, leather, graphite, and oak. On the palate more of that dark fruit, with plum, baking spices, oak, and that lead pencil element. Nice acidity balances that extraction. Rich and robust if not particularly complex. As others have said, the wine opens up after 90-120 minutes, so a quick decant is suggested.
