Friday, November 25, 2022 - This wine was so good the day before, I opened my second of three bottles for the fam...who all thoroughly enjoyed it! For those who like big, hedonistic wines with lots of stellar fruit, this won't disappoint....if you are truly a Francophile or have only an old school palate, this is not for you....you will find it lacking in the tertiary flavors and likely too sweet.....but if you love and appreciate the purity of fruit in a wine, this is killer juice! Same prep as previous bottle (aerator and 30 min decant), but this one only lasted an hour. Same score for this bottle, i.e., 95.

12/13/2022 7:09:00 PM - I think this goes to your "drink em young" philosophy.....not sure if it gets better or worse with time from here....However, I have a problem, I have some GTO going back to 16 (as you know only mags).....not sure when to open one! Wait or open one soon? First world problems!

12/13/2022 7:33:00 PM - Have friends over and enjoy it. I'm of the belief, after having many '17 Carters that they'll never get any better. Just my personal opinion. Their '17s were very red fruited and monolithic, though I suspect the GTO might be a tad better or at least i hope so for your sake.
