90 Points

Friday, April 17, 2009 - Dark ruby color. Aromatics of sweet blackberries and pepper. Tastes of blackcurrant, blackberry, charred oak with a touch of bell pepper. Chewy tannins. Rich, ripe finish. An enormous wine that is still quite young tasting for being 10 years old. Needs time. Reasonably well balanced with good acidity. Probably one of the best examples of Quilceda Creek I have ever tasted. 14.4% alcohol.
